‘The Amateur’ Trailer – an All-New Espionage Thriller Starring Rami Malek
20th Century Studios has released the first trailer and poster for The Amateur, an espionage thriller starring Oscar® winner Rami Malek and Academy Award® nominee Laurence Fishburne, set to hit theaters on April 11, 2025.
In the film, Malek plays Charlie Heller, a brilliant but reclusive CIA codebreaker whose life shatters when his wife dies in a terrorist attack in London. Frustrated by the agency’s inaction, he sets out on a global mission for revenge, using his intelligence skills to evade those hunting him and track down those responsible.

Directed by James Hawes, The Amateur features Rachel Brosnahan, Caitríona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, and others. The screenplay, adapted from Robert Littell’s novel, is by Ken Nolan and Gary Spinelli, with production by Hutch Parker, Dan Wilson, and Malek.
