The iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® returns for its 98th celebration on Thursday, November 28, officially kicking off the holiday season. With millions of fans tuning in across the country and thousands gathered in New York City to witness the giant balloons, dazzling floats, and fantastic entertainment, the parade is a beloved tradition. For decades, The Walt Disney Company has added its magic to the event, starting with the debut of a Mickey Mouse balloon in 1934, joined by balloons of Pluto, the Big Bad Wolf, and the Three Little Pigs.

This year, Minnie Mouse joins the fun, making her first-ever appearance as a massive balloon! Floating above the streets of New York City, Minnie brings her iconic polka dot bow and yellow heels, striking an adorable pose for all to see. Measuring 60 feet tall and 60 feet long—about as high as a five-story building and as long as eight bicycles lined up—she’s also an impressive 34 feet wide, or the width of five New York City taxis!
