Moana 2 Review

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ epic animated musical “Moana 2” reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers.
After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Before the film we saw two ads for different Moana 2 merch, and the trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King.
The Story
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
We’ve waited 8 long years for the sequel, and it was worth it. I loved the deeply emotional story and connections we formed with old and new characters.
Tip – keep your eye on Hei Hei whenever he is on screen – a joyful delight – especially when the Kakamora arrive in the story.
Animation
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Stunning! Like only Disney can. Just sit back and enjoy the best of the best.
I would have loved to see more of the funnily animated bats though.
The Music
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
The songs form an integral part of telling the story of the journey the characters are on, and reflects the theme we fell in love with in Moana, with a familiar melodies and lyrics finding itself in the new Moana 2.
My favorite song is “Tulou Tagaloa” as it captures the soul of the first Moana, though only one toe tapper in Moana 2 for me.

Post Credit Scene

Be sure to keep watching once the credits start to roll after Moana 2 – we have a surprise appearance from a charismatic Moana character!
There is no after credit scene, though if you want to see the Disney castle logo set to gorgeous music themed to Moana 2, it is worth the wait.
