After years of speculation, a release window for Hawkeye Season 2 may finally be on the horizon.

Insider Daniel Richtman reports that Marvel Studios plans to film the second season in Fall 2025, aiming for a Disney+ release in late 2026 or early 2027. This follows Hawkeye‘s debut in 2021 and rumors of early development as of September.

While Marvel has yet to officially greenlight Season 2, signs point to its return, including the Blu-ray labeling of Season 1 as “The Complete First Season.” However, Jeremy Renner hasn’t appeared in the MCU since the show’s finale, and Hailee Steinfeld’s only follow-up appearance was a cameo in The Marvels.

What Could Happen in Season 2?

With Kate Bishop’s role in the MCU expanding, the second season might focus on her leadership development, potentially setting the stage for the Young Avengers. This aligns with The Marvels, where Kate met Kamala Khan, hinting at the team’s future.

The rumored release timing places Season 2 between Avengers: Doomsday (May 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (May 2027), raising questions about its connection to those films. Fans speculate the story will remain grounded, focusing on street-level stakes rather than Multiversal chaos.
