Disney cast members with a love for either the Army or the Navy recently met on the Seven Seas Lagoon near Magic Kingdom Park to voice their support of this time-honored rivalry. Army veterans boarded the General Joe Potter ferryboat while Navy veterans took command of the Admiral Joe Fowler to shout “Go Army” or “Go Navy” in this fun showdown at Magic Kingdom Park.

Marvel ‘Eternals’ Disney+ Release Date
Disney+ announced that Marvel Studios’ “Eternals,” one of the biggest movies of the year, will start streaming exclusively on Disney+ on January 12, 2022. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest team of Super Heroes has led theater audiences on an exciting journey spanning thousands of years, and now the Eternals are bringing all of that signature Marvel Studios’ action, spectacle and thrill to Disney+.
“Eternals” joins 13 other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies now streaming in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, which gives subscribers more picture with an expanded aspect ratio for an immersive viewing experience at home (content availability varies by region).
Marvel Studios’ “Eternals” follows a group of heroes from beyond the stars who had protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When monstrous creatures called the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.
The outstanding ensemble cast includes Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, with Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, with Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.
Chloé Zhao directs the film, and Kevin Feige and Nate Moore are the producers, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Kevin de la Noy serving as executive producers. The screen story is by Ryan Firpo & Kaz Firpo, and the screenplay is by Chloé Zhao and Chloé Zhao & Patrick Burleigh and Ryan Firpo & Kaz Firpo.

Disney Animation Studios Introduces ‘Strange World’
Concept art is available for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature film “Strange World.” The original action-adventure journeys deep into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission. According to director Don Hall, “Strange World” is a nod to pulp magazines—popular fiction from the first half of the 20th century that was printed on inexpensive wood pulp paper. “I loved reading the old issues of pulps growing up,” he said. “They were big adventures in which a group of explorers might discover a hidden world or ancient creatures. They’ve been a huge inspiration for ‘Strange World.’”

Going Behind ‘Behind the Attraction’ with the Walt Disney Archives
Over the summer, “Behind the Attraction” made its debut on Disney+, taking viewers on a journey through the history of beloved attractions across Disney Parks and Resorts around the world. To take an ever deeper dive into the series, Mark and Nataly, the Disneyland Resort Ambassador Team, had the unique opportunity to visit the Walt Disney Archives: home to the greatest collection of historical materials from The Walt Disney Company for over 50 years.
This exclusive tour of the Archives was led by none other than Kevin, manager of research for the Walt Disney Archives. One of several passionate connoisseurs of Disney history on the Archives staff, Kevin was a perfect person to take us behind “Behind the Attraction” and showed us a few parks-related artefacts from their amazing collection.
Kevin was also kind enough to lead a little “show and tell” with Mark, sharing a few artifacts themed to some of the rides and attractions featured on “Behind the Attraction”. To no one’s surprise, our Disney Ambassadors will jump at any chance at learning more Disney history – Mark could barely contain his curiosity and excitement, especially with the pieces from the Disneyland Resort! There truly was no better way to relive the magical past of our Disney parks and attractions.

Marvel Studios’ ‘Hawkeye’ Now Streaming
Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from the Marvel comics, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. “Hawkeye” is helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie.

‘Ron’s Gone Wrong’ Crashes onto Disney+ on December 15
“Ron’s Gone Wrong” from 20th Century Studios and Locksmith Animation – and Certified-Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes – starts streaming on Disney+ just in time for the holidays on December 15.
