Conan O’Brien to Host 97th Oscars
Emmy® Award-winning comedian Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Oscars, announced Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang. This marks O’Brien’s first time as host, with the Oscars airing live on ABC on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST.
“We’re thrilled to have Conan lead this celebration of film with his humor and love of movies,” said Kramer and Yang. Craig Erwich of Disney Television Group added,
“Conan is a comedic legend whose unique perspective makes him perfect for this role.”

O’Brien, known for Late Night, The Tonight Show, and Conan, currently hosts Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend and stars in Conan O’Brien Must Go. The Oscars will be broadcast live from the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, reaching audiences in over 200 territories worldwide.
